Christmas Photos at the Jersey Shore
I had never been to Belmar and even though I grew up in New Jersey. Belmar has been made famous by local legends like the Boss who made this special town his favorite playing venue.
It was such a treat to capture this family, who are some of my favorite people on Earth. We headed to Belmar to capture some images for their annual holiday card. It was a lot of fun to see a change of boardwalk scenery since I am so used to the Ocean City boardwalk. It is a very different experience to visit shore towns in the winter. There is still a charming place but just less crowded. We were able to stop first in downtown Belmar and see all the quaint shops. My clients had a friend who has a home on the penthouse of one of the main buildings in the central part of town. It offers quite the view. No matter where you are in New Jersey, a view of the mighty Atlantic Ocean always provides a humbling sight. Our next stop was to see the Christmas Bazaar at the Convention Center on the boardwalk. It was filled with vendors and stores that offer last minute shopping and unique gifts. It was a brisk day but a little walk on the boardwalk is always great. Fresh salt air always cures most things no matter the temperature.
I loved being able to visit the boardwalk on the off season. It makes you cherish the summer season so much more.

I love capturing all the madness that comes with a large family photo shoot. And trying to wrangle all the kiddies for a big family shot requires a lot of silly faces and some good old Photoshop. Sometimes the parents are the ones that I need to make sure stay smiling the good smiles and keep looking at me. So parents no matter what keep looking at the photographer and I will capture your kid’s attention.
